Activity of “Improving Adolescent Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare in Yen Bai province” project in March
From March 12 to 14, 2024, a delegation of representatives of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, Daiichi Sankyo Group Japan, and Daiichi Sankyo Vietnam Co., Ltd visited Yen Bai province. The trip is part of the activities of the project "Improving Adolescent Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare in Yen Bai province " implemented by Save the Children.
On the first working day, the delegation visited Van Chan District Health Center; visited 01 private clinic specializing in obstetrics and gynecology - family planning in Tran Phu Farm Town, Van Chan District. In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited and participated in a communication event at Van Chan High School. Here, information and knowledge about adolescent sexual and reproductive health care was conveyed in many forms lively and interesting such as: organizing the contest "Ring the Golden Bell", painting contest... revolving around the topic of adolescent sexual and reproductive health care. The event attracted the enthusiastic participation of the teachers as well as all students at Van Chan High School.
On the second working day, the delegation visited La Pan Tan commune health center and attended a parent club meeting in Ta Chi Lu village, La Pan Tan commune, Mu Cang Chai district. At the club meeting, parents were guided by health workers, provided knowledge about reproductive health and adolescent sexual health, discussed, shared experiences and learned from each other.
At the end of the business trip, the delegation had a meeting with the Project Management Board of Yen Bai province and the Project Management Board of Van Chan district. At the meeting, the Provincial Project Management Board presented a summary report on the results of "Improving Adolescent Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare in Yen Bai”, difficulties, challenges and solutions and plans to implement the project in 2024. The parties have exchanged and shared experiences to gradually remove difficulties and are determined to successfully complete the project's activities in the coming time.
Through attending communication activities at the grassroots as well as the sharing of the provincial and district Project Management Boards; The delegation highly appreciated and was very satisfied with the above effective activities, which brought a lot of useful knowledge to people in the area about reproductive health care and adolescent sexual health. Daiichi Sankyo Group Japan, Daiichi Sankyo Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Save the Children will continue to accompany and support Yen Bai province in implementing the project's activities in the coming time.
