DSVN and Ajinomoto Vietnam Collaboration
On December 20th, 2023, Daiichi Sankyo Vietnam Company Limited (“DSV”) and Ajinomoto Vietnam Co., Ltd., (“AVN”) signed the Memorandum of Cooperation in developing special menus for ALS patients. Through this MOU, both parties express concern about helping ALS patients have delicious meals by developing special menus for and taking care of ALS patients as a matter of mutual interest.
From the beginning of August 2023, AVN began looking for experts who could advise on necessary nutrition standards and other necessary standards for ALS patients as well as advice related to the suitable structure of menu in a day, menu frame (name of each dish), proper thickening agent. In addition, seeking expert opinions on developing detailed menus or tasting trials is one of the aspects which both parties focus on.
According to the consensual plan, after AVN completes detailed menus, AVN will conduct tasting trial for the menus. As soon as these tasting trial procedures finish and all the detailed menus are revised following tasting trial result, DSV will connect with hospitals and ALS patients for tasting trial of the menus on ALS patients.
DSV and AVN have been having regular meetings and closely monitored activities. In addition, as a sponsor, DSV will sponsor funds to carry out the above activities in the series of cooperative activities for the concerned issue. It is expected that by the end of 2024, both sides will have reached final conclusion, and a complete menu will be designed and provided to ALS patients.

Therefore, AVN and DSV would like to cooperate to improve the quality of life and the health of all patients all over the world in general and ALS patients in particular for our Purpose’s realization. AVN and DSV hope that the project will contribute to helping ALS patients have more strength and energy to struggle for treatment this harsh disease.
